District #1 was dispatched to the area of Elizabeth Avenue and Schoolhouse Road for a report of smoke in the area. Units arrived and discovered a column of smoke rising out of the woods in the area of an abandoned driveway. Upon further investigation, an abandon house was discovered on fire . The structure was a considerable distance off of the road and appeared to have been burning for some time. After overcoming obstructions in the driveway, 26-3 extinguished the fire with the assistance of other district companies.

May 23, 2010 – At around 2:00am, Station 56 (Somerset), and Station 44 (Middlesbush) were dispatched to the intersection of New Brunswick Rd. and Cedar Grove Ln for the reported dump truck on fire. Crews arrived to find 2 commercial vehicles well involved in fire in a landscaping yard. The fire was extinguished without incident.

CLAY TOWNSHIP, PA — Early on March 12th at 0301Hrs., BOX 16 was transmitted to 1731 West Main Street at the Agway Store for the reported building fire. Lancaster County Communications advised units from Company 16 of a reported building behind the Agway Store with smoke pushing from it. Chief 16-2 arrived on scene reporting a large one story warehouse type building with heavy smoke showing, he requested the County Haz-Mat Duty OIC to the scene as the building had unknown type farm storage inside. Engine 16-1 arrived shortly afterward laying out across West Main Street (Route 322) to the scene were they then deployed an 1.75 line on arrival to the interior of the building. Interior crews reported to command of heavy smoke through out the building and were searching for the source of the fire. Command then transmitted the 2nd Alarm with an extra special service for RIC assignment. Interior crews from Engine 16-1 located a vehicle well off to the Alpha/Bravo side inside of the building and made the knock of the fire as 2nd Alarm units were starting to arrive. Crews continued to vented the building and the fire was marked under control in about 45 minutes. At 1740 hours, Lehigh County dispatched stations 8, 25, 26 and 51 to 2391 Hailey Court in Weisenberg Township for a vehicle fire in an attached garage. Chief 802 radioed shortly after dispatch that he could see smoke from a distance. Chief 5101 arrived on the scene confirming a working fire and established Hailey Command at 1747 hours. Command requested a second alarm be dispatched bringing in Truck 831, Engine 1012, Tanker 1021, Tanker 1721, Attack 1771, Tanker 2221, Engine 2611 and RIT from Station 1. Engine 811 was the first engine on scene and tagged a hydrant across the street from the residence and stretched a line to the “D” side of the structure. Truck 831 arrived and backed into the driveway and setup for aerial operations. The truck crew began removing the garage doors while the engine company extinguished the fire. Truck 5131 arrived and stretched a 2.5 inch line to the rear. Further arriving companies sent their manpower to the front of the structure to assist interior crews. The fire was knocked down quickly and positive pressure ventilation was set up. At this time, command ordered all units not on scene to proceed with caution. During the late morning hours of April 13, 2008, Elizabeth Ave. and Somerset Fire Companies were dispatched to a vehicle fire in the area of Weston Canal Rd. and Rt. 287. Crews arrived to find a small fire in the engine compartment that was knocked down by PD.
A fire destroyed a car on Engle Road in Londonderry Township on Jan. 14 around 5 pm Londonderry Fire Department responded with two engines, a tanker, and a crew of 16 firefighters.
