ATTENTION TV STATIONS – DO NOT BROADCAST – FOR KOCO TV 5 USE ONLY A home in the 1100 block of North Sunset is a total loss following a fire at the home that was reported around 7:40am this morning. The home had been vacant and the homeowners had been at the home last night cleaning up and decided to spend the night there since it wasn’t that cold out last night. A candle was lit for light and it’s believed it somehow was the source of the house fire. They woke up with the house on fire and one of the 3 occupants received burns from the cover catching fire which then caught his coat on fire. He was transported by a Ponca City Ambulance to the Ponca City Medical Center. The burns are believed to be minor and he is expected to be treated and released. Copyright © 2008 Chris Caldwell
