Arson investigators are trying to determine the cause of yet another fire at the abandoned Pennington Place apartment complex in Lexington Kentucky. Fire Fighters tell VFL that electrical causes for this fire can be ruled out since power has been shut off to these vacant units. Originally called Saddle Brooke Apartments, police say that the complex is known to shelter the homeless and that this fire may have been accidental. Officials have not ruled out arson. The fire likely started in the stair well of the building then worked its way between the floors of the two story structure. I’ve included scenes of firemen actually fighting the fire. This is PingPanther reporting for VFL from South East Lexington just off New Circle Road.
