First reported as a bench set on fire, building reported filled with smoke. Engine 1 investigates to find smoke in an apartment, striking a box alarm for a building fire. Further investigation shows smoke in apartment from now well involved brush fire, box is cancled but the next due tanker, truck and squad are kept enroute to assist with low water pressure on hydrants in the area. Fire knocked and under control EST 1 hour.

At 10:35pm on Valentine’s Day GFD was toned out for the smell of smoke at 24th and Tyler, while en route dispatched filled the assignment out to a still. On arrival heavy smoke was visible in the area and shortly after a working house fire was found. While crews made an aggressive attack with tank water they had to stop and wait for a good hydrant. After a positive water source was established the fire was quickly knocked. Nobody was injured at the scene. Great job by GFD!
