Prospect Heights Fire Department requested an extra alarm for a house fire at 500 Kewaunee Court just before 8:00 PM Friday. Extensive fire damage occurred to the first and second floors and a patio deck at the rear of the house. Report of heavy fire in the back of the residence before firefighters arrived. Large smoke header visible from Arlington Heights before arrival of Prospect Heights Fire Department. Excellent knock down of fire by Prospect Heights Fire Department, especially considering the fire was well-involved before fire companies arrived and that the neighborhood does not have water supply with fire hydrants. Unfortunately, two dogs died in the fire. Huber Heights apartment fire
I was visiting the firestation when suddenly there was a call!!!!!I was so excited that I first forgot to turn the camera to the right sense!!What came out is anyway a great souvenir of that unforgettable day!!!! Call for a reported emergency elevator in south brandon avenue or somewhere The engine truck is similar to the one used in Italy for dimensions and tools, but Italian FF are not assigned to ladder, engine or a means in particular. Ambulance is normally provided by hospitals. Probably the biggest differences stand in budget and kind of calls: calls in Italy are for car or truck accidents, fires happen seldom. In the States the fire Dpt probably never has serious lack of founds. In Italy figures show that next year it won’t even have the money to buy the gasoline.BTW, a FF here gets 1200 euros per monts, 5 € per hour on duty… honestly quite shitting
SEP 19 2008 — Video shows Arlington Heights Fire Department Engine 3 and Tower 1 responding to a disabled car in the intersection of New Wilke and White Oak with a small fire in the engine compartment. Tower One responded most likely because Engine 3 was not expected to be available for a primary response in its district. However, Engine 3 did arrive on scene first. Both Tower 1 and Engine 3 effectively blocked traffic from fireground activities in the intersection. Police were called to help with traffic management. Fire call only involves light smoke and suppression with one handline from Engine 3. Good work preventing a complete fire and destruction of the car.
