The FHP did an extensive 2 year study, one of the most intense in history about emergency lighting. The system they use is the culmination of that study and supposedly the safest system for the officer. Some troopers did not like the “all red” in daytime and they learned a way to circumvent the system to make the bar work both colors all the time.

easyhomesurveillance.tk – Five juveniles remain in custody after a 15-year-old was doused with rubbing alcohol and intentionally set on fire. The incident which occurred at a Deerfield Beach, Florida, apartment complex, elicited laughter from a couple of juveniles accused of taking part in the heinous act. According to officials Michael Brewer suffered second-degree burns over 80 percent of his body. Docotors had to sedate the teen as they worked on him scraping off burned skin when he was first admitted. It is believed he’ll be hospitalized for five months. “He’s in for a long, long recovery,” Broward County Sheriff Al Lamberti told reporters during a press conference. A Sheriff spokesman revealed three juveniles were arrested Monday night, while two others were arrested Tuesday. “A couple of them last night were laughing about it,” he said. “One of them arrested today seems genuinely sorry about it.” Matthew Bent, 15; Denver Colorado Jarvis, 15; his brother Jeremy Jarvis, 13; Steven Shelton, 15 are all being charged with aggravated battery for the attack. The boy accused of lighting the fire — 15-year-old Jesus Mendez is also facing charges of second-degree attempted murder. On 12/25/08 at 0217 hrs TFR received a 9-1-1 call reporting a fire at the JL Young Apartments, 8220 N Florida Avenue, apartment 306. On scene within 4 minutes fire crews reported smoke coming from the three story building. Fire crews made their way up to the third floor hallway where they forced open the door of apartment 306 to find it completely full of thick black smoke. On the floor they found an unconscious man. One fire crew pulled the unconscious man outside, carried him down the stairs and provided medical care. The 58 year old man was treated on scene for severe smoke inhalation and transported in serious condition to St Josephs Hospital. Other fire crews quickly extinguished the small fire in the apartment. While the fire was being extinguished smoke filled the hallway causing about 14 apartments to be temporarily evacuated. The fire was under control about 0240 hrs. One other adult female was treated on scene for a minor injury she sustained while evacuating. She was transported to St Josephs Hospital in good condition.

ELLENTON, Fla. – An overturned taker truck completely shut down I-75 for hours and created a traffic nightmare in many parts of Manatee County Wednesday (June 4, 2008). Southbound lanes are still closed. Around 4pm Wednesday, a fuel tanker truck traveling southbound and approaching exit 224 on Interstate 75 swerved to avoid another vehicle, lost control and drove off the overpass onto US 301, bursting into flames. The I-75 bridge sustained structural damage from the fire and resulted in the closure of both directions of the interstate. Witnesses of yesterday’s crash describe that intense hea and smoke that came from the explosion. John Dix was working when he saw just yards away the crash happened before his eyes. It s amazing, i have never seen nothing like that. “I turned, and when I turned I see this truck, I see this line of fire, like it’s falling down.” He also could hear that fuel tanker bursting into flames. “It’s like a lot of thunder…I heard three times, like boom, boom, boom.” “The heat was so dramatic, I felt the heat all the way over here. I thought I was going to have to vacate from this area, ” says Larry Akins. The driver of the tanker truck, 54-year-old Raymond Neumann of Brooksville, was flown to Tampa General Burn Unit with severe burns.
