Extension cords are sold everywhere and everyone has different capabilities. If the electrical circuit you create with your extension cords exceeds the capacity of one wire, you have problems you can’t see. Today’s electronics use adapters and equipment you have turned off is still generating heat from electrical equipment. When electrical equipment fails there are many factors protecting the circuit but fires can happen. Be aware of the hazards in home and pet protection. The video refers to a home that just burned down because of an extension cord. You will see an infrared image of the home burning and nothing left afterwards. Then there is an infrared time-lapsed video of extension cords used for 11 minutes and time-lapsed into 76 seconds. In the 11 minutes we could smell the plastic on the extension cords burning, the electrical breaker didn’t trip yet.
