At 1500hrs Coplay and Whitehall were dispatched to 1131 Tapler Drive for a house fire. Upon arrival, chiefs found a service line to the house down over the street and heavy fire at the point where the electric service enters the house. Once crews managed to get a handline on the fire, it was quickly darkened down. Coplay Engine 511 was first on scene followed by Whitehall Engine 13. A 2nd alarm was struck for more manpower. Whitehall Engines 4, 14 and Truck 6 were on the ticket for the 2nd alarm. Truck 6 crew went to the roof to ventilate while interior crews ripped down ceilings and checked for extension. PPL was called to disconnect electric service to the house. The fire was out in about 30 minutes.

At about 2:10 pm on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, Fir/EMS units from the Largo area responded to a 911 report of a basement fire in a 2-story, split-foyer, single family home. Units operated for about 20 minutes before knocking the fire down. The cause of the fire is under investigation and preliminary fire loss is estimated at 000. No injuries were reported.

I was outside parking my car and noticed a fire down by my street near Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue. When I got down to the home that was on fire, this is what I saw. SCARY! Story One person has life threatening third-degree burns and three others are also in hospital after an explosion destroyed an Amesbury-area house Wednesday night. Firefighters were called to the house on 39 Amesbury Dr. near Black Creek Drive and Lawrence Avenue West just before 10 pm Police say there were six people in the house including a child, and four adults were taken to hospital with burns to the arms and hands. The child was not hurt. A man believed to be 24-years-old is in hospital with life-threatening injuries, suffering from third-degree burns to 90 per cent of his body. A second person, born in 1992, is at a Hamilton hospital with serious third-degree burns. Unconfirmed reports suggest the fire may have been the result of careless smoking and an amateur furnace repair job. The house was fully consumed by flames and police say the building and the car are demolished. The fire caused about 0000 damage, police say. Firefighters say there may have been a natural gas explosion since neighbouring houses are not damaged.

Here’s the new ATV vehicle that you get in the Far Cry 2 Fortunes Pack for PC (recently released). This video will show you several locations in the Leboa Sako world map (Act I) where you can find an ATV -assuming that you have the Fortunes Pack installed, that is. I also give the ATV a really good test drive by attempting to drive one from from Pala (the town in the center of the Leboa Sako map) all the way to the south east bus station WITHOUT USING ANY WEAPONS. So the rules of engagement here are that I’m only allowed to repair the vehicle and/or heal myself. Other than that, my only defense is to drive, drive, drive! Since the ATV has no mounted gun and offers no protection against enemy fire then its strong points are obviously speedrunning and evasive maneuvers over rough terrain so I decided to put it to task in that department. And by the way, you don’t need Steam to download or install the Far Cry 2 Fortunes Pack DLC. Minutes before 1100hrs, Laurys Station Company 12 was dispatched to 5125 Church Drive for a house fire. One caller reported fire from garage and heavy smoke pouring from windows. With that report, the second alarm was struck. Laury’s Engine 12 arrived and reported a working fire. First-in engine crew stretched a hand-line to the garage and darkened down the fire, while Lehigh Twp. Engine 47 brought in a water supply. Ladder Co. 16 went to the roof to open up, but by then the flames were venting from the roof. Command struck a third alarm. One firefighter was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, possibly heat related. The fire was under control in about an hour.
