At around 10:30 p.m. Thursday evening, Mooretown and Woodbury Volunteer Fire Departments were called to the scene of a house fire at 256 Tommy Parker Road. It was reported that the fire began in the kitchen area and it was stated that the flames were moving through the house. When firefighters arrived on the scene, flames were visible on the roof.

The homeowners were able to get out of the residence.

It appeared that a few things were able to be rescued, but not a lot. American Red Cross was contacted to help assist the homeowners with their immediate needs.

The property at 256 Tommy Parker Road is listed as being owned by Maria and Ricky Parsley.

Cannon County EMS was also called to the scene as was Middle Tennessee Electric to cut the power.

The Cannon County Sheriffs Department also responded. It appeared that the home was a total loss.
