English: Ice practising, Ekebyhovskolan, 9th grade 2/18 2009. The local fire department cut up a hole in the ice and let volunteers from our class jump into the cold water with our clothes on. We learned how to get up with ice picks, but we had to answer a simple question given by a fire-fighter before we were allowed to climb up. Then we changed to our dry clothes. The girls did it in the fire truck, but me and the rest of the dudes where badass enough to do it in a tent with a temperature below the freezing point.

South 3rd St. South Bethany Beach Delaware House Fire – January 20, 2010 – 6:00pm – Fire was in the first house on the left on the east side of Coastal Highway. The fire was initially dispatched for South 5th Street, however, the corrected address is on S. 3rd St.
At 2:26 in the video, you can see the fireman walking through the upper level with their flashlights. You can also hear the chainsaw and firemen hacking through the roof to create ventilation holes earlier. Very eerie sounding. No one was injured in this fire. Fire on Mason street. Turn your sound on, the hacking and chain saws are eerie! It’s a bit shaky, as I didn’t have a tripod and was a bit adrenalized. I wound up taking this into ABC 7. Thought they were going to use it for the morning show, but as it turns out, it didn’t run. After I told them I wold give it to them, the wisked me up to the live newsroom floor. I would have gotten some ke-zash if I would have called at 9pm vs 10:45 pm. A day late and a dollar short like usual. I called at 10:45 and they said it was too late to get paid for the video. I told them I didn’t want any money, I’d give it to them, he had me deliver it personally to the news room floor after I said that. It seemed like they almost got it into the 11:00 news, it was just too short notice for them. Was a fun experience though.

About 11 am on July 28, at the corner of Dixie and Linton, I noticed a car smoking with the driver standing behind it. I took a couple stills, I was about to walk away when I noticed flames coming from the back of the older model Mercedes Wagon. I started videoing about 30 seconds after the initial smoke. The car was completely engulfed in about 1-1.5 minutes, happened really fast. Amazing how fast a car can go up. A police officer was there immediately, took a few minutes for the Fire dept to show up. The driver stood back and watch his car burn, I never saw him attempt to go back to the car, hes the guy in the green shirt, that you might see for a couple secs. By the time I started videoing the gas tank had already popped. You can hear two or more tires exploding, one as the fire fighters approach, and one before. Pretty interesting, but a bad day for the driver.
