This was taken from side C of the burning structure in the rear driveway of the Shipper’s Auto Collision on North Cumberland Street, just after the arrival of Lebanon Fire engine 2. The initial call was for a reported shed fire behind a residence. First engine on scene reported the fire had extended into the second floor of the structure.

Firefighters spent part of their morning at a house fire at 408 Dawes Avenue in the city. Heavy smoke was seen pouring out of the home. Fire crews knocked out a portion of the upper part of the home, as well as part of the side of the house. Dawes Avenue is in a development off of River Road in North Utica, just behind the Riverside Shopping Center. No injuries have been reported

At around 4:09AM during the pre-dawn hours of Feb. 8, 2009, Stations 26, 27, and 56 were dispatched to the Quality Inn parking lot on Easton Ave. for the reported motor vehicle fire. Crews arrived to find a motor vehicle well involved in fire. Extinguishment was completed by the crews of Engine 26-3 and Engine 27-8.
