A 32 unit apartment building was a total loss, the fire was blowing through the roof when first units pulled up on scene.

Call came is as an apartment building fire and since I had my daughter and live across the street I grabbed the camera instead of turnouts for this one. Minor cooking incident.

October 27, 1991. Puyallup, WA. This fire could have been prevented if the person who’s mattress had caught fire not leaned it against an exterior wall of the structure when it was removed. Thinking the mattress was extinguished, the fire smoldered and worked it’s way inside the wall and the rest is history. No injuries. Heavy damage.
