I was awoken that morning by sirens and fire alarms from all directions, and the air was thick with smoke. Karangahape Road was closed from Howe Street to Pitt, and I could see smoke billowing from the top floor of number 373. Auckland Central Fire Station is just around the corner from the scene, but by the time they had arrived, several rooms were fully involved. There were inhabitants trapped on the fire escape, and the firefighters transmitted a fourth alarm for backup. The fire was was put out quickly, and the victims were rescued with no serious injuries. Box 2317 was transmitted at 2215 hours for a house fire at the corner of 9th and Tilghman Streets. Engines 9, 4, 6, truck 2 and BN1 (Shott) respond. Engine 9 arrives and transmits a working fire at 641 N. 9th Street in a 2.5 story M/O/R, heavy fire venting 2nd floor front. Crews stretch 3 lines into the dwelling and make a quick attack, darkening down the fire in about 25 minutes. A supply was laid from 9th and Allen Streets about a block away. Primary searches came up negative. BN1 on the secondary advised that 5 people were unaccounted for. Secondary searches came up negative. Firefighters were on the scene for about 2 hours mopping up. 2nd alarm companies: Engines 10 (RIT), 13, 14, Air 1 and car 40 & 46

Hasbrouck Heights,nj (bergen) Fire Department fought this house fire @ 27 Columbus ave on January 3,2010 at around 11:45pm. Mutal aid assistance was brought in from Wood-Ridge,Moonachie,Little Ferry and Wallington, while South Hackensack,Moonachie and East Rutherford covered the Hamilton Ave firehouse.

Video taken on the scene on the Fairfield, NJ 6th Alarm+ Comercial building fire tonight. As it stand this was the 7th fire in Essex County today. A large ammount of Mutual Aid was called in. Baltimore County, MD firefighters battle a 4-alarm apartment fire on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 6 Spindrift Court in Parkville at The Berkshires at Satyr Hill Apartments. BCoFD Engine 10 was first and immediately requested a second alarm, reporting heavy fire in a three-story garden apartment building. The fire quickly spread to attached similar exposures and command requested a third alarm, followed by a fourth alarm. Several civilians and firefighters were transported to area hospitals.
