Spokane voters are being asked to consider an Emergency Medical Service (EMS) levy as part of the April 27, 2010, special election. The current EMS levy will expire on Dec. 31, 2010, and City voters are being asked to approve the continuation of the levy for the next six years. The EMS levy raises about million annually and would assist with paying for: First Response basic and advanced life support response. Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technicians and Firefighter/Paramedics. Medical supplies and equipment plus general operating costs. Vehicle and equipment maintenance. EMS training. EMS management and quality improvement programs. The EMS levy would be at the same rate as approved in 2004. It cannot exceed 50 cents per 00 of assessed property value; thats a year for a property worth 0000 or 0 a year on a property worth 0000. The Fire Department has been involved with EMS for more than 50 years. The EMS Levy has been in place since 1980. The funding raised by the EMS levy equals about 25 percent of the Citys General Fund allocation to the Fire Department. Since 2005, the Spokane Fire Department has responded to more 20000 emergency medical calls. Those calls have accounted for more than 80 percent of incident calls annually since 2005. During that time, the Citys population has grown somewhat—from about 198000 to about 205000.

This is my students, Curran Prasad, Kevin Huang, Tim Darby, and Julie Seuffert, first attempt to detect and extinguish a flame in preparation for the International Robot Fire Fighting Competition in April 2010. Their robot is equipped with a Robodyssey turret, homemade IR sensor, and one of Versas solenoid valves to release high pressure CO2. While Tim, Julie, and Currans code to find the fire worked fine, Kevins program to release the CO2 needed a minor adjustment. The issue? He didnt open the Versa valve long enough and not enough CO2 escaped with each puff.Robodyssey Systems manufactures the Mouse robot and RAMB II motherboard you see here. The robots brain is NetMedias BX-24 microcontroller, which is programmed using the BasicX language. BUSH & Cheney and Rumsfelt got their Rubber stamp Congress to pass a law, that they can NOT be indicted if torture, or anything illegal they did should be later found to be a crime. What greater admission of guilt need we? FACT is 47 story 7WTC bldg also came down 6 hours later and NO PLANE hit it at all. But the video of that 3rd bldg which Silverstein ordered “Pulled” by demolition charges was NEVER broadcast on West Coast, and ran only once …

After Dropping My Girlfriend Off At Her House. My Dad And I Were Driving Home To See A Building On Fire. After An Hour Before This We Drove In The Opposite Direction Of The Kingston Bridge And The Building Wasn’t On Fire So All This Happened With A Half Hour. No-One Was Harmed In The Fire Due To The Building Being Abandonned. And Remember Fire Spreads Quickly As Seen In This Video.
