Very inspiring….but I am glad I don’;t work for this cat!
@jarden69 If you really think that then you will never be great!
He may have an “in your face” way about him..and his delivery….but..you cant argue with the message! ANYONE that has had great success in what they do are in love with and are passionate about that activity!! To many people doing what they are good at (but not enjoying)..so get out and do what you love!
I try and watch this video every single night before I go to bed. Sometimes not the entire thing but simply for the one liner…”There is no reason in 2008 to do something you hate…PLEASE…STOP…DOING THAT.”
Inspiration that has kept me motivated in my own right. Thank you Gary.
@jarden69 He said he took over…not that he “inherited” and a couple million dollar business is not very much. That is a calculation of revenue, not of profit. A really solid business, like he is talking about, would be lucky to clear 10% profit. So the profit is $200,000. That’s not much, when you consider FIRST taxes and SECOND paying the family.
@GaryVaynerchuk Hey Gary… what wine goes good with bullshit? :S
@GaryVaynerchuk … but I now see the secret of your success. You’re a genuinely nice guy which didn’t come across especially well in this video to impatient pricks like me who just want to make their minds up on the spot. What I said was stupid and infantile but I can’t promise I won’t do it again because that’s me
but I’m not all bad… really.
I won’t give you my email because by the sounds of things you have enough of them to answer so I’ll just say this: Sorry
and best of luck
@GaryVaynerchuk MAN
YOU KNOW WHAT?… I’m sorry
I was having a really bad day. I’m generally positive but I’m also brutally honest and in the anonymous world of youtube I just let rip sometimes which I know is cowardly and pathetic but at the same time it’s therapeutic to be that brutally honest.
First impressions are a load of crap. I got your book and I’m gonna read it. I couldn’t see your message as anything other than “FUCKING WORK YOU ABSOLUTE LAZY PRICKS!” (Which I agree with)…
@3LARI dude pls let me know where I can call u or email u, I am sad u feel this way about me …hope u are well!
he tries very hard to convince people he’s happy when i can definitely see him going home at night and crying to a blow up doll of himself. psychopath.
he’s clearly just a spoilt kid used to getting his own way and has used his parent’s money to set himself up being, from what i can make out, a cunt for money. his advice is facile and nothing new. i just wasted 15 minutes. i should email him and tell him what a prick he is
@jarden69 Don’t be troubled, that’s just an opportunity for a “poverty mindset” to set in. Sure, he was able to start easier but to use that as an excuse in not “hitting it”.
Six words: Chris Gardner – The Pursuit of Happyness.
Different beginnings, similar results.
Be encouraged!
I started my business with absolutely no cash or loans. I minimized my expenses to the bare minimum and hustled while still working 60 hours a week. Yes reality sucks, but what are you focused on? He has advantages? Yes.
I quit my day job last March and risked everything. It’s a roller coaster, yet it is completely possible.
My mantra is simple: No excuses and Make it Happen. Nuff said!

Everybody needs to stop thinking he means EVERYONE walk away from what you hate. Obviously to some of us that is not financially viable. He is simply taking reality and slapping you in the face, and that is all. This is a reality check and it is very well received. Bless you Gary for the advice we needed it
Great message, but as someone commented earlier; start at the bottom with no cash, no lines of credit, car payments, rent, food, etc. and tell me you can just walk away because you hate what you do…
It would be a wonderful world if we could just fit the right person to the right job and make the world a happy place, but it’s a long way off… Reality sucks!
I agree, its easy to have a launch pad. Not saying he didnt earn his dues, but start out from the street level with the rest of us and THEN cuss at me about doing things I hate, then you’ll get my respect. I STILL LIKE THE MESSAGE.
@jarden69 You could flip that the other way round though. If you start with nothing then you are hungry for it. Its amazing that he bothered to do anything if he was born into it…
@ jarden69, it wasn’t neccesarily a multi-million business, just turned over 2 mill a year, not that huge! But he got the turnover up to 50mill, which is huge!
Crush it was a good read…

Read his book “Crush It!” and he breaks it down even further. Inspired me to start working on my own business.

HEY JARDEN, what the hell you got going on? have you accomplished anything remotely comparable to Vaynerchuk? No! you know why? cause you aint killing it. your killing everybody else with your stupid freakin mindless comment. Watch the video again Ahole. Its for people like you, BUT, with the intelligence to grasp it, and make a move instead of rationalizing why you aint there!…………….. Loser
The sad part is we need people to work a 9-5 because without them we wouldn’t have anything.Think about it, people working in factors make it possible for us to have food on our plates people work shitty construction make it possible for us to have houses to live in ect.
@jarden69 Apparently he built his existing 15million/yr business to 50million/yr. Impressive
This made me think of David Brent’s motivational speech.
