Fire on (Airport road) AWAFI Furniture stores
A residential apartment at the Karama street along the Airport Road caught fire on 30 August 2010 Saturday afternoon. Nearly 30 families in the building were evacuated safely, while several cars parked nearby were destroyed in the blaze. i am staying in the same building,, first call was made 15 minutes before this vedio started so they were very very late , that is the main reason y all building now is burned out,,
the ppl who suppose to rescue the residanse who stuck inside they were standing and doing nothing at all, a father who have two kids was asking them that his kids are inside and they were saying we cant do any thing now however they were fully equiped ,, the father pushed them and he succeed to bring his kids

I live nearly 150m away! I saw the smoke, ran to the site, police was already there, blocking all entrances to the place except where firefighters came through(airport road) it took civil defense nearly 12 min to attend from the start of the fire, nearly 8 min from the time of dispatch, that’s a great response time I would say! In Paris once I was walkin down the street and saw a fire with people all over it took nearly 20 mn for civil defense to arrive!

Scores of people were brought to the Abu Dhabi Social Support Centre of the Ministry of the Interior after they narrowly escaped a fire that almost gutted a eight-storeyed building.
The fire completely destroyed 10 cars parked in front of the building along Airport Road.
The incident happened at 3.15pm on Saturday.
No one as reported seriously injured. But, first aid was given to many who suffered smoke inhalation.
