never ever take any part of your PPE off at any time in a burning structure (i.e. gloves) . This will cause severe burns.

@ew6208 there are a few out in my area. The reason i got when i asked them questions was so that they can get through and do a search easily with out worrying about the charged line being difficult to pull around corners. this way with the uncharged line you can manuever quicker. to me i kind of like having water already there with out calling for it cause say if one radio didnt charge correctly or both have no signal, then you come into an issue when there are flames every where but thats me

We never enter with a charged hose line. What’s the point? If we aren’t near the fire, it will just slow us down. Most guys inside don’t even have a line. The truck companies and rescues do their work without one.

We are a bit more aggressive though than most places since we more people on scene being a large east coast department.

how many other depts enter a burning structure without charging the hose line first?

FF might have received a burn on his hand at 3:18 if this was a real fire. Don’t take off your gloves even in training/demo. Great video regardless. Thanks for posting!
