25

A man calls 911 when he is trapped on the second floor of his burning house. This segment was taken from Episode 302 which aired on September 24, 1991 on CBS. This particular version of the segment was recorded after the Family Channel starting cutting episodes to make room for commercials, so it may have small parts missing.

When you acquired 215, 220, 223, 512, and some other episodes, was the Cbs version of 302 included?

why are so many people commenting on the fire siren going off at night?? If my house was on fire and I was trapped I’d want the entire neighborhood to know so someone could save me, peoples lives are in danger who gives a f*** if it wakes someone up!!

  4. theone2225 says:

@videomaster110 our siren sounds any time we have a fire call. Why would you turn it off?? That’s just dumb, so what if you wake up people, people’s lives are in danger.

  5. theone2225 says:

@UtopiaUK that’s because it is. they just create this stuff to recreate the fire for the show.

He should have just jumped out the window. He might have sprained or even broken a bone or 2, but he still would have been more likely to live. Also, he should have had working smoke detectors, and the wall outlet should not have been overloaded. Overloaded outlets are most likely to short out.

  7. mortonfiredept says:

its actually the q on the truck..but your right it does sound like a siren at the firehall

  8. davinp says:

why can’t he jump out the window? just push the screen out

  9. DevzPlural94 says:

  10. thefirefighter says:

our sirens are shut off at ten but our horns are still on but if we get a fire we turn the sirens on

  11. jerhouck says:

and at 1:33 he not at out .

  12. videomaster110 says:

at 3:11 and 3:19, you can hear the house siren in the background. the house siren are to alert volunteer firefighters to the firehall and it also alerts residents that an emergency is taking place and that volunteers will be arriving. but what i DONT get is why the fire siren would be activated even after midnight.

  13. UtopiaUK says:

and at 0:54 the smoke looks fake. Scary to think smoke can spread like that in your home.

  14. jamin108 says:

  15. MidwayTFST says:

  21. pug6666 says:

  22. pug6666 says:

Why dont thay say the first dispachers name?

  23. coolgyger says:

We have that kind of service in my area. Company 2 is the La Vale Vol. Fire Dept. while Company 52 is the La Vale Vol. Rescue Squad (Ambulance Service)

  24. Jonger81 says:

Surely the distance from his window to the ground was a bit higher than that in real life. The drop didn’t look that far at all.

  25. davinp says:

I’ve heard of a volunteer fire department, as their are ones in my neighborhood, but not a volunteer ambulance
