Firefighter Rescue – Webbing Extraction Technique Full Video – Parts 1 and 2
This is the complete video showing how an 8-9 foot webbing loop can be used to rescue a Firefighter who has fallen through a hole in a floor or roof. For this technique to work, the integrity of the surrounding area must be strong enough to support the weight of the rescue attempt. Beyond the obvious, the trapped Firefighter must be as familiar with this tactic as the Rescue Team – Including the options and requirements for a rapid and successful deployment.

Nice ideas .. thank you
These are just 2 of numerous ways to perform a below grade extraction of both a conscious & unconscious FF who has fallen through a hole in a floor or roof. Out of the 2 procedures shown the “Big Loop” is significantly faster. There also techniques using rope(s), hose, ladders & debris from the collapse itself. Having options simply allows you to adapt to different situations when other equipment is limited or not available – Very rarely is there one perfect solution for any given problem.
It seems like there would be a faster way to do this.
This stuff is interesting! When I sign up ill make sure to tell the chief about this stuff!!
These are not requirements but some ideas to keep in the back of your mind. It depends per state. Every state should have a state sponsered fire Academy or Marshalls office. Contact those folks for the correct info.
