Acetylene Tanks And Car Parts Exploding And On Fire In Gary Indiana
Watch for a fairly large explosion around 3:38. Truck 13 was dispatched to a reported brush fire at 2994 Burr at about 10:40am on 11-11-09, on arrival Truck 13 requested a full still for a working fire in a makeshift storage building loaded with oil, gasoline, acetylene tanks, and car parts. Multiple lines were stretched to bring the fire under control along with the use of a front end loader used to open the “building”. Nobody was injured at the fire scene and investigators were on scene working. Awesome job done by GFD, 1st turn

good call using the forklift to ventilate
Hey I live in Indiana! It’s AWESOME!!!!! Their is always a large amount of car accidents in my neighborhood, but mostly on my street. Their is about one, or two, everyday, if were lucky. Its mostly college students because we live on a sharp bend in a road on a campus.
Great job boys!! But don’t they have any Tower Units?
the fire wont go out at 5:30 to 7:13 because it was reignighting and it probably was a chemical type fire
During the explosion at 3:40 there is always that one guy who doesn’t flinch!!!
Was this “building” made out of shipping containers? That’s what it sorta looks like, and that’s a bloody death trap. See: Haunted Castle fire in Jackson NJ. Great videos mate.
Very nice work!
I do sell a best of Gary dvd, Parts 1-3. You get a total of 5 hours of non-stop fire action. You can view the preview, it’s one of my most recent uploads. Contact me for more information if you are interested.
you got some great video, you should put em on dvd, thanx for sharing and keep em coming!!
Yes, tat building was a huge code violation
Was that entire building made out of containers?
As long as it is a Six Flags fun ride and doesn’t wind up being Six Guys Carry Ed, I’m fine with it, dude!!
Sounds fun!! If I think I’m going to come out, I’ll give ya a holler!!
I have friends come out all the time for fire buffing, I bbq and we mess around outside. It’s always a good time, just be ready for a ride better than six flags, and thats my driving to get to the fires!
That nasty, ugly, greasy eyesore was better burned down than up.
Good job as usual, Ed.
I wanna come ride with ya some week. You have all the fun!!
Piercing the lower part of a closed burning container is a good way to cause and explosion.
Next time try the top.
Nice work by 1st turn, although we all know 2nd turn gets the real work!
@vitunkyrp no
foam is the thing to use?
:40 Somebody grab the red ranger bed for me! Mine is all dented up!
Great job Ed.
Nice catch on the explosion. The beginning was funny with the guy gettin yelled at for pullin a preconnect instead of the 2.5!
