House Fire on College Street

At 2:22 p.m. Kosciusko Police and the Kosciusko Fire Department were dispatched to a house fire at 103 College Street. Audio Upon arrival Engine one found heavy smoke and flames showing from the home. Audio Firefighters requested Kosciusko Water and light to the scene to cut the power to the home. Audio Med-Stat EMS was dispatched for medical standby. Audio Firefighters battled the blaze in the pouring rain before bring the fire under control at 3:00 pm. According to KFD the occupant was not at home at the time of the fire. The fire is believed to have started in the bedroom but the exact cause is under investigation.
