House fire in town, on Sunday night. I was listening to my scanner when I heard the call, someone was trapped on the 2nd floor but the fire dept. got him out safely. Flames started shooting out of the eves on the roof and 2 hours later a 1ft wide by 10ft long roof over hang piece came crashing to the street.

Video taken on the scene of the 4th Alarm house fire this evening in West Caldwell. Got on scene about 30 minutes after the first call went out. Arrived to find heavy fire through the roof and venting out all windows on all sides. 1st due companies reported “extremely poor” hydrant presssure and had to first go in with just using tank water.

Companies operating on scene are as follows:

-West Caldwell Fire Department
-North Caldwell Fire Department
-Caldwell Fire Department
-Essex Fells Fire Department
-Fairfield Fire Department
-Verona Fire Department
-West Essex Ambulance Squad
-Caldwell Police Department

***Bloomfield Fire Department was sent to provide coverage from one of the Caldwells, not exactly sure which company though***

I know I’m probably missing a few departments but the scene was complete chaos. If your department was there and I did not list you please let me know and I will gladly add you to the info. Sorry but as I said, it was maddness on the fire ground.

I hope you all enjoy these next 4 videos, I’d consider this to be top 5 out of the fires I have shot this year.
