Responded to assist Markle VFD with a 1 veh MVA on Melwood Rd. in Allegheny Twp. Upon arrival, crews removed the back of the seat and assisted the EMS crews with boarding and extricating the patient through the back of the minivan he was operating.
This video needs to be put into context as I fear it may be viewed the wrong way. The video was shot as a tribute for an end of the year banquet for a graduating class of paramedics. If you listen to the words, we follow a VSA protocol through the EMCA-P/ABC in proper sequential order. As we know, this job, at times, can be stressful and overwhelming. Although it may seem like a joke to some, we in no way tried/want to tarnish the reputation any EMS service out there. We also understand that patient care is a very serious matter and would NEVER do this sort of thing on the road. It is supposed to be fun and light-hearted.
First Responders in action in May 2010. There was a bad accident around the Elgin NB area lastnight just after supper at least 3 young people died at the accident scene and 2 more rushed to hospital , the road was closed down most of the night, there was also a couple of bad accidents in the Buctouche area lastnight , one of the accidents involving 4 wheelers at high speed. The other a head on accident and drinking and driving!! there are so many people drinking and driving on our roads its unreal.

Check out ActionVids.blogspot.com June 29, 2007, right around 4 PM, a King County Metro Van Pool and a grey Honda Accord collided head-on on Bel-Red (Bellevue-Redmond) Road between NE 20 St and 156 Ave NE in Bellevue, Washington. I think at least two people were rushed to Overlake Hospital with possible injuries. Two Bellevue Fire Engines, one Bellevue Aid car, one Tri-Med, and about four Bellevue Police cars all responded and shut down that stretch of road way. No word on the conditions of those involved.
